Walshville Lodge #475 is conducted a fund raising program to purchase Bullet proof/Slash resistant vests for the K-9 Dog unit for the Hillsboro Police Department, Hillsboro Illinois. These are the only two K-9 dogs in Montgomery County and their services are always called upon. In 1999 30 police dogs were killed in the line of duty in the State of Illinois. We would like to purchase two vests for this dogs at the cost of $405.00 per vest. Walshville Lodge #475 will be presenting a bullet
proof/slash proof vest to the police dog Officer Dixon of the Hillsboro
Police Department, Hillsboro Illinois at the police station Saturday April
21, 2001 at 2:00 PM. In addition to the presentation Officer Dixon will
demonstrate what skills is capable of performing in regards of police enforcement.
This is open to all the brethern and general public for their pleasure.
